Inclement Weather/Emergency Notice
Please listen to the radio or watch television for no school announcements in case
of bad weather - listen or watch for "Arlington Public."
If the Arlington Public Schools have a no school, Sunshine will be closed. If
Arlington announces a one hour delay, we will delay one hour and will have afternoon
classes if they are scheduled that day. If Arlington announces a two hour delay,
Sunshine will be closed.
You may always call the school and listen to the recorded message. It will say if
we are open or closed. 781-646-1630
Use of the Calling Chains
Occasionally, Sunshine will be closed or open when Arlington Public Schools are
open or closed, respectively. In these cases we will use the call chain for your
child's class to notify Sunshine families.
For instance, one day a few years ago, Sunshine had to close because there was no
heat in the building. Later that frigid season, Arlington Public issued a closing
notice because they didn't want children out waiting for the bus or walking on a
below-zero day - but Sunshine was open.
If you are concerned, or are not sure what the situation is, please call the school.
