Sunshine Nursery School - NAEYC accreditation update

Sunshine Nursery School has been proud of its affiliation with and
accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young
Children (NAEYC); and or director, Gerry Pedrini, has been an active
leader within NAEYC in her role as a program assessor.
Recently, however, discrepancies at the agency have led to concerns
about the processes and procedures required of schools applying for new
or re-applying for existing accreditation. We have made the difficult
decision not to re-apply for accreditation until matters are resolved.
We feel strongly that this is not only the best decision for the whole
Sunshine Nursery School community, but also for our role as "industry"
leaders in the area. Our standards will remain high as will our hopes
for a quick resolution to NAEYC's current challenges.
