We have spent three wonderful years at Sunshine and I have watched my son blossom from a shy child who wouldn’t speak, to a confident, happy boy with many friends. The teachers at Sunshine are extraordinary- kind, patient, caring, warm, and friendly. We have greatly enjoyed the social events and parent-helping days! The enrichment programs are outstanding.

When looking for a preschool for our daughter, my husband and I wanted a warm, fun environment, kind and dedicated teachers and a stimulating, play-based curriculum. At Sunshine, we found all of that and more. Professional staff, including awesome, patient teachers, and fun events for the whole family make SNS #1 in our book!

Our three year-old daughter, Grace, absolutely loves Sunshine Nursery School! She is overjoyed each morning when we tell her, “Today is a Sunshine day!” Sunshine is helping to inspire a love of learning and respect for the community. We couldn’t be happier that Sunshine is Grace’s introduction to school.
As a full time stay-at-home parent, my pediatrician recommended that we do 1 year of Pre-K before kindergarten. After visiting multiple schools, Sunshine was our 1st choice. I was anxious about picking a first time school, but after watching the teachers and how the children responded to them, I felt we made a good choice. Six months later, I’m confident to say he loves his school! We truly enjoy hearing about his daily activities and participating in the school get-togethers. AND his little brother is already enrolled for next year!
We love Sunshine! A few times a year my husband or I (or grandparent) get to be a special guest in the classroom. I am usually smiling for three hours straight. It’s a beautiful thing to see my child interact with her classmates and teachers, and she loves being the “star of the day” and showing off her mommy. There are also family events like picnics, potlucks, and pizza parties. It’s a great way to get to know the other families and siblings can enjoy and feel like they are a part of the school!
We chose Sunshine because of their commitment to a play-based learning environment; a preschool environment which we believe is best for fostering both our kids’ love of school and social development. During our daughters’ time here, we’ve been impressed with the autonomy that students have. While the teachers provide structure and intervene when necessary, students have great latitude to explore a chosen activity and to negotiate relationships. The cooperative aspect is also really nice as it makes the school feel like a community. But the best thing I can say about the school is that both of our daughters love it and enjoy being there.
